What’s your Bible reading plan?
I’m not nearly as concerned about what plan you have as I am about you simply having a plan!
There is much to learn from God’s Word. Most would not dispute that. For many, however, this great book of God’s wisdom from God’s heart sits nicely on a table or on a bookshelf…barely being touched.
So, what’s your plan? I love reading through the entire Bible every year, but that can be overwhelming if you’re just getting started. So, let me suggest to you a simple way to form this habit in your life.
Read one chapter a day. Start in the book of Matthew (and don’t worry about pronouncing all the names in chapter 1). Then read through the New Testament. There are 270 chapters. Some are quite long, so take two days on those. Don’t focus on 270…just focus on ONE…the one chapter you’re reading today. Just spend that time every day with Jesus. You’ll be amazed at what God says to you!
“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:105 NLT)
