Will you hear this?

Will you hear this?

I do believe my dad heard the words, from Jesus Himself, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” I want you to hear those words as well.

We will all stand before God one day. As one picture of that Moment, Jesus tells a story in Matthew 25 known as the “Parable of the Talents.” In His story, the master rewards two of his servants because they put the resources given them to work. The one who was not rewarded did nothing with what he was given.

It’s in this story we get the phrase, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

My dad was in occupational ministry for 64 1/2 years. He FAITHFULLY served for more than 6 decades!!

You don’t have to be a pastor or missionary to hear those words…but you and I do need to be faithful with the opportunities God gives us.

Who can you tell this week about the Good News of Jesus?

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV)
