Would you throw it away?

What if, like Paul, you came to the conclusion that everything I try to do to earn my place in God’s family is garbage? Would you be willing to throw it out?

Paul looked at all of his own effort as “garbage” compared to actually KNOWING JESUS. My challenge to you today is simple…take the next step toward Jesus. I don’t know what that is for each of you, but I know we can all take a step closer.

If you’re not sure what that is, ask Him. “Jesus, reveal to me ANYTHING that’s getting in the way and help me get rid of it.” Or “Jesus, show me what I can do next in order to get to know you even better?”

If there’s ANYTHING in your life more important than knowing Jesus, you’re missing out!

“Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ.” (Philippians 3:8-9 NLT)
